- Aircraft & system function hierarchy
- Function numbering & descriptions
- Traceability baseline for all workspaces
- Unlimited functions per project
Architecture Workspace
Physical & functional design
Model your system architecture from vehicle to item level. Allocate functions, define interfaces, and generate block diagrams at every level.
- Vehicle → System → Equipment → SW/HW Item
- Function allocation matrix
- Internal & external interface definition
- Functional & architecture block diagrams
Requirements Workspace
Traceability backbone
Bidirectional requirements traceability across every workspace. From aircraft-level requirements to item-level verification evidence.
- Aircraft & system requirements register
- Derived requirements from FHA & assessments
- Bidirectional traceability matrix
- Audit-ready compliance export
Safety Workbench
Run the complete top-down and bottom-up safety analysis cycle — from first hazard identification to final safety case.
FHA Workspace
AFHA + SFHA
Functional hazard assessment at aircraft and system level in one workspace. Classify failure conditions, assign DAL and derive safety objectives.
- Aircraft FHA (AFHA) & System FHA (SFHA)
- Failure condition classification (CAT/HAZ/MAJ/MIN/NSE)
- DAL assignment A–E
- Safety objectives traceable to Function Tree
Safety Assessment Workspace
PASA · PSSA · FMEA · FTA · SSA · ASA
The complete safety assessment workspace — from preliminary allocation through FMEA to the final safety case. Includes a powerful dedicated Fault Tree Analysis engine with quantitative probability calculations, minimal cut set analysis and importance measures.
- PASA & PSSA — reliability requirement allocation
- FTA — probability engine, cut sets & importance measures
- FMEA — failure mode & effects analysis
- SSA + ASA with templated PDF/DOCX export
Common Cause Workspace
ZSA · PRA · CMA
Structured common cause analysis across three methods — Zonal Safety Analysis, Particular Risk Analysis and Common Mode Analysis.
- ZSA — zone-by-zone installation & interference review
- PRA — fire, lightning, bird strike & particular risks
- CMA — shared failure source identification
- Independence assumption validation

Trusted by engineers who
cannot afford mistakes.
From solo consultants to certified design organisations — PHASR Systems fits the way safety engineers actually work.
“PHASR Systems finally gives us a single environment to run the entire safety process. The traceability from FHA objectives straight through to SSA evidence is something we previously stitched together in three separate tools.”
Markus Schneider
Senior Safety Engineer
Aerospace OEM — Germany
“I work across multiple programmes simultaneously. The Function Tree Workspace alone saves me hours per project — and when I show clients the allocation matrix linked to their safety objectives, they immediately understand the value.”
Claire Fontaine
Certification Consultant
Independent — France
“We're a small team certifying a MALE UAV under EASA. PHASR Systems gave us an enterprise-grade safety process without needing an enterprise-sized team to maintain it. The SFHA to PSSA workflow is exactly what the regulations require.”
Hugo van der Berg
Lead Systems Engineer
UAV Design Organisation — Netherlands

PHASR Systems covers the complete development and safety analysis cycle through two workbenches. The Development Workbench includes the Function Tree, Architecture and Requirements workspaces. The Safety Workbench includes the FHA Workspace (covering aircraft-level and system-level functional hazard assessment), the Safety Assessment Workspace (PASA, PSSA, FTA, FMEA, SSA and ASA), and the Common Cause Workspace (ZSA, PRA and CMA). The platform is designed to align seamlessly with industry-standard aviation development and safety processes.
Yes — seamless integration across levels is a core design principle. The FHA Workspace covers both the Aircraft FHA (AFHA) and System FHA (SFHA) in one environment. The Safety Assessment Workspace runs from PASA at aircraft level through PSSA, FMEA, FTA, SSA and ASA. Design organisations working on full aircraft programmes and those focused on a single system can both use the platform effectively.
The FTA engine inside the Safety Assessment Workspace is a dedicated, professional-grade tool. It supports quantitative probability calculations, minimal cut set analysis, and importance measures (Fussell-Vesely, Birnbaum and others). Fault trees are linked directly to your PSSA reliability allocations so results feed automatically into your compliance matrix. Export to PDF or DOCX with your report template is included in the Pro tier.
The Common Cause Workspace covers three methods. Zonal Safety Analysis (ZSA) examines each physical zone of the aircraft for installation errors, maintenance errors and interference between systems. Particular Risk Analysis (PRA) assesses external threats such as fire, lightning, bird strike, hydraulic fluid leaks and high-intensity radiated fields. Common Mode Analysis (CMA) identifies shared failure sources — common hardware, software, processes or environments — that could invalidate independence assumptions in your fault trees.
The Free tier gives you full access to the Function Tree Workspace — build complete functional decompositions, number and describe your functions, and establish the traceability baseline for your project. The Pro tier unlocks both workbenches in full: all safety workspaces (FHA, Safety Assessment with FTA, Common Cause), all development workspaces (Architecture with block diagrams and ICD, Requirements with traceability matrix), and templated PDF/DOCX export across all workspaces.
Enterprise adds extended functionality within the Architecture, Requirements and Common Cause workspaces — advanced interface management, extended block diagram capabilities, and deeper common cause analysis tools. It also adds team collaboration with role-based access and review workflows, making it the right tier for full design organisations rather than individual engineers.
The Requirements Workspace runs as a persistent backbone across all other workspaces. Safety objectives derived from the FHA become traceable requirements. Reliability allocations from PSSA are linked to architectural items. Every requirement tracks from its origin through to verification evidence in the SSA or ASA. When an authority asks 'show me how this safety objective is met', you can trace it end to end in seconds.
Your project data is stored securely using Supabase, hosted on AWS infrastructure in the EU. Row-level security ensures that only you — and team members you explicitly grant access to — can view your projects. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We do not share or use your project content for any purpose other than providing the PHASR Systems service.
